Seeking the truths of life by just talkin’ to God

“Dirge for Pharoah and Egypt” Ezekiel 32:

The dirge is a funeral poem. God told Ezekiel to warn the leader of Egypt of his wrong leadership and God’s plans to take away his power. This dirge contains excruciating details of the tortures planned sequentially up to destruction and loss of freedom. Egypt was to be used as a weapon of God’s power to destroy “the pride and presumption of Egypt.”

Can we see a parallel in today’s world here?

I am in the United States, and I wonder if God has similar plans for us. Perhaps, the elusive global warming is a desolation to Earth. Is it in response to people’s irresponsibility or ignorance?

“When I make the land of Egypt desolate and the country is stripped and deprived of all that which filled it, when I strike all those who live in it. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

The pandemic slayed millions, without direct parallels to merit. This passage puts the blame on leadership. In widespread locales, we live in decay and a decaying society.

Are we watching the breakdown of civility?
