Bondservant and apostle Peter, special messenger and apostle to Jesus Christ, wow! What an honorable, yet humbling position.

Peter tells us we have this in our acceptance of Christ. We, too, can be righteous in our actions, but we must be diligent.

Our faith grows with moral excellence.

I know I am finding that making the righteous choice, the one differing from worldly values, increases my ability to seek Your face, Lord. I desire to be more and more righteous in Your sight.

For this, I exercise ever-increasing self-control, but Lord, there are times where it feels very difficult, and I am drawn to my old ways.

Your promise that my choices of righteousness will increase my steadfastness and godliness.

Help me to remain in Your will.

This is where I am, Lord. I have much more work to do. Spiritual growth is what pleases You, Lord, and that is my dream.
