When we are tired and can’t make it on our own, the words ‘come here’ can be soothing, but when we’ve done something wrong, the same words evoke fear.
When we are innocent, whether young and guilt-free or just guilt free, we can accept things in a way the non-innocent can’t.
I am not innocent in any way. I am guilty. I’m not even young in the Lord, just immature.
God wants us to set aside these things that hold us back from coming to Him.
Through old eyes God reveals himself, and my eyes sparkle afresh with clear eyes of Him. Just as Jesus came as a baby, we can accept the love of our parent innocently and wondrously.
We see God because He wants us to see Him in His glory. The jaded miss it.
He is our rest from the struggles in the world, of which there is no limit. All we have to do is believe and accept Him as ALL.
Just like a baby accepts her parents as the source of everything. Loving and being loved.
