King Solomon built a temple for the Lord. He built it according to his father, King David’s plans – which were built on the Lord’s plans.
Now that’s a legacy!
This was the House of the Lord!
Even as it was being built, it was built in reverence with intricate details of its construction precision and quality. Solomon’s intentions were good.
Then God presented Solomon with a challenge and a promise. His promise was to dwell with Solomon and the people of Israel if they follow his wishes. This promise is with us today, even though Solomon didn’t quite make it because we can’t do it alone.
On our own we fail, but when God sent Jesus, He implemented His plan for our blessing and His purpose.
Solomon’s golden sanctuary with golden cherubim spanning a 30-foot space above the Ark of the Covenant must have been an awesome sight.
It took seven years to build and was an amazing feat of construction.
The detailing, a splendor as only God deserves.
Our sanctuary, the innermost part of us takes time to build, but the more work put in, the faster it happens.
