God hears us when we call on Him.
Jeremiah had a special connection.
Haven’t you longed to be able to sit down and have coffee with God? I have. For now, I have to be happy having coffee with his Word.
Jeremiah prays as I try to pray at the end of my study. Praising God. Respecting him for his greatness. Asking for my needs and help for others and finally yielding to His sovereignty.
Jeremiah seized the destruction that lies in separating from God.
God provides; we take. God loves; we take that love for granted. Then God reacts or leaves and we get angry at him.
God wants one thing. For us to love and follow him as any good leader does.
God proclaims in this passage that He is the Lord of all flesh. We are not things and our actions affect our God. Our Father gets angry and He can and will do what he wants.
We must be careful not to incite the same fate as the Israelites. But even so, as the end nears, God will have his people.
